Math without a Pencil
Students learn math quickly by eliminating writing errors and creating clear solutions.
Teachers are more effective by presenting clear and complete classroom lectures.
And connecting students with teachers and tutors instantly with Live Share.

Teachers please consider:
The Math App solutions will generally have More Rows than Hand-Written solutions.
-
This is By Design. The Math App focuses on Show Your Work.
-
This does not mean more time was involved. In fact, The Math App is Faster due to far less writing for copying rows.
-
More Detail can and should be included, given the ease of duplicating rows.
-
No Math Shortcuts are required given the endless page size relative to a whiteboard or workbook page.
-
All rows can be grouped and Hidden as needed to avoid overly long solutions.
We suggest that Subject Matter Experts view The Math App, and our examples, from a Student's vantage point.
-
Experts rarely make transcription errors.
-
Experts can decipher hand-written solutions with shortcuts.
-
Experts rarely need the detailed explanations that solutions made with The Math App can provide.
-
These 3 do not apply to students and especially those who may have missed some steps during lectures.
Would you rather turn in or grade?

With detailed explanations expanded.
This?
Or this?
Would you rather lecture with?

Teachers use completed solutions with details and row hiding instead of writing solutions on whiteboards.
These can be continually improved.
And students can focus on the material while
teachers can focus on the students.
This?

Or this?

Benefit to using TMA as a teaching tool.
Addressing the problem of keeping advanced students focused on work and Working Ahead.
Teachers Create Lectures for classwork.
All the information from the lectures can then be
included with the homework assignments.
These provide instant access to details that students may have
missed or neglected to write down.
These also provide a Lesson/Homework-Packet that advanced students
can use to Work Ahead and others can use to Catch Up.
Use The Math App
To help teach and solve all types of math problems including
Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics and Chemistry.

How we eliminate transcription errors.
The Math App Eliminates Transcription Errors by minimizing
(or remove completely) the need for transcription.
Most operations on equations use terms from known, or given, equations or previously used in the solution. These terms are typically modified and then added, multiplied, divided or directly copied and inserted into an equation.
This video shows the copy of a whole equation, and also multiplies terms to both sides. And calculates, without entering any terms.
This video shows examples of
combining like-terms.
And insert parenthesis to factor out terms.
Do these by entering only a few terms.
Distribute terms with copy/mod/paste and colors to clearly show your work.
It shows use of duplicate row (Ctrl-D)
and minor editing.
Do these without entering any terms.
Use copy/mod/paste to fill-in a complex calculus formula.
Zero writing = Zero errors.

Intelligent-Notes
The I-Notes feature creates note suggestions learned from previous steps.
Math solutions very often use terms previously provided or derived.
The Math App employs a copy/modify/paste editing model that
eliminates errors that often occur when terms are copied or entered by hand.
The Copy Part is usually a single click and
the Modify Part is a menu used for features like wrapping with parenthesis, square root and font color, etc...
The Paste Part is a single click at the desired locations.

Save Time while Removing Transcription Errors
A large part of error elimination are the Duplicate Row and Calculator features shown here.
Ctrl-D duplicates and cleans up the equation by removing redlined terms.
Ctrl-R calculates and red-lines selected terms while inserting the result.
Note: Actual terms and units are never entered directly for both the conversion equation and the calculation.
The Copy/Modify/Paste model eliminates writing errors by eliminating the writing.

Save Time getting help
Students connect instantly to teachers/tutors.
Teachers can monitor multiple student's progress.
Tutors can work with multiple students at the same time
-
Focus: On the math, not the writing.
-
Eliminate Mistakes With Integrated tools and simplified workflows.
-
Save Time Less typing with fewer mistakes.
-
Instantly Access
Teachers/Tutors/TAs with LiveShare.

-
Quickly Review, grade and correct work, saving time deciphering solutions.
-
Create Lectures that save time by not having to repeatedly write solutions.
-
Present Lectures in-class and/or remote with LiveShare
Include with Homework
Teachers can lecture as they always have. Annotated and fully explained solutions can be included with each homework file. This helps students who could benefit from extra detail
(Often skipped for time/space limitations) and students who wish to work ahead.
Teachers Save Time

Tutors can reach more Students more effectively.
-
Quick Understanding of student's work either in person or remote.
-
Provide Instant Support by connecting with more students, any-time with LiveShare
-
Optionally answer questions remotely.
-
Remove the Frustration of not understanding the work and struggling at home.

Helps ALL Students.
The inspiration for The Math App is the founder's son,
Jacob, who has Cerebral Palsy.
Jacob has an Engineering degree from Arizona State, understands the high-level math that was required, but the inability to write made it difficult to work solutions.
The Math App was designed to use Minimal Keystrokes and Touches without compromising the "Own Work" part of learning.
This design helps all users.
Designed for Access
